Traffic Study
(Updated 3/17/2016)
Study Results Are In!
A traffic study encompassing all of Tower Grover South got underway in September 2015. Hundreds of residents filled out an online survey, and dozens attended a public meeting in early October to ask questions, share observations, and learn more about the process. That feedback was invaluable–thank you for participating.
I’ve worked closely with the City and its contracted traffic planning experts, CBB, throughout this process. The ultimate goal, we agreed, was to enhance traffic and pedestrian safety throughout the 15th Ward.
CBB has issued its recommendations, based on months of public engagement, data collection and analysis.
Recommendations are divided into four phases:
- Gustine Avenue
- Morgan Ford Road
- Overall neighborhood needs
- South Grand (primarily south of Utah)
Please note: While changes to some one-way streets have been proposed, I want to stress that NO changes will be made without inclusive meetings with residents on those blocks. I support the right of residents to have a voice in those decisions.
